Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso (about 2 ounces) or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk for extra creaminess; oat, almond, or soy milk work too)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips or 1.5 ounces chopped white chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but lovely)
  • Pinch of salt (enhances flavor)
  • Whipped cream (optional topping)
  • Shaved white chocolate or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Brew the coffee: Pull 2 shots of espresso or brew 1/2 cup very strong coffee. Keep it hot.
  2. Warm the milk: In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the milk until steaming. Do not let it boil.
  3. Add white chocolate: Stir in the white chocolate and a pinch of salt. Keep stirring until fully melted and smooth. If using bars, chop finely so it melts quickly.
  4. Add vanilla: Stir in vanilla extract, if using. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding a few extra chocolate chips if you like it sweeter.
  5. Froth (optional): Use a handheld frother, whisk, or tightly lidded jar to create light foam. This adds that café-style texture.
  6. Combine: Pour the hot coffee into your mug. Top with the white chocolate milk mixture and stir gently to blend.
  7. Finish: Add whipped cream and a sprinkle of shaved white chocolate or cocoa powder, if desired. Serve immediately.
