Brew the coffee: Make 1–2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup strong coffee. Set aside.
Warm the milk: In a small saucepan, add milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and your sweetener.
Heat over medium until steaming, not boiling.
Froth the milk: Whisk briskly, use a handheld frother, or shake the hot milk in a heat-safe jar for 20–30 seconds to create foam.
Combine: Pour the coffee into a mug. Add the warm milk, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon the foam on top.
Finish: Dust with a pinch of cinnamon.
Add whipped cream if you like, then another light sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
Taste and adjust: Add more sweetener or vanilla if desired. Enjoy right away.
