Warm the milk: Add milk to a small saucepan over low-medium heat.
Don’t let it boil—gentle steam is perfect.
Add spices: Stir in turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. If using a cinnamon stick, add it now.
Simmer briefly: Let it gently heat for 4–6 minutes, stirring often. This helps the flavors bloom and keeps the milk from scorching.
Sweeten and enrich: Turn off the heat.
Stir in honey or maple, vanilla, and coconut oil or ghee if using.
Strain (optional): If you used fresh grated turmeric/ginger or a cinnamon stick, strain through a fine mesh sieve for an ultra-smooth sip.
Froth and serve: Use a handheld frother or whisk briskly for 10–15 seconds. Pour into a mug and dust with a pinch of cinnamon or turmeric if you like.
