Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Yogurt: Greek or regular, plain or vanilla. Non-dairy options like coconut or almond yogurt work too.
  • Fresh fruit: Berries, banana, kiwi, mango, peaches, pineapple, or grapes.
  • Crunchy topping: Granola, crushed graham crackers, toasted coconut, or chopped nuts.
  • Sweetener (optional): Honey, maple syrup, or agave.
  • Flavor boosters (optional): Vanilla extract, cinnamon, lemon zest, or a squeeze of citrus.
  • Add-ins (optional): Chia seeds, flaxseed, cacao nibs, or mini chocolate chips.
  • Containers: Small glasses, jars with lids, or clear plastic cups.

Method

  1. Prep the fruit: Rinse and dry berries. Peel and chop larger fruits into bite-size pieces. Pat very juicy fruit dry with a paper towel to prevent sogginess.
  2. Sweeten or flavor the yogurt (optional): Stir in a little honey or maple syrup and a splash of vanilla. For brightness, add a pinch of lemon zest.
  3. Start the base layer: Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of yogurt into each cup and smooth it out.
  4. Add fruit: Scatter a colorful mix over the yogurt. Aim for a single layer so it looks neat and every bite is balanced.
  5. Repeat layers: Add another layer of yogurt, then more fruit. Two to three layers look great in clear cups.
  6. Add crunch at the end: Top with granola, nuts, or coconut right before serving so it stays crisp.
  7. Finish with a drizzle: A light zigzag of honey or maple, plus a sprinkle of cinnamon or chia seeds if you like.
  8. Serve or chill: Enjoy immediately, or cover and refrigerate. Add crunchy toppings just before eating.
